Presenter and Guide · one approved knowledge base

Agents that show your product.

A Presenter runs live sales demos on a call, with voice and a cursor on your real product. A Guide points customers to the next click inside your app, so fewer support tickets get opened.

A real call with Ava, open to anyone. No account needed.

Butter Studio, the Overview page: what needs you, one lane for Sales (the Presenter) and one for Adoption and support (the Guide). Over it, a live demo call in which Ava shows the product to a prospect, and the Guide pointing at the next click.

Two jobs

One agent sells. One helps customers succeed.

The Presenter and the Guide work at different moments of your customer’s life, and Butter keeps their numbers apart. They share one thing: the knowledge your team approved.

Before the sale

Sales

Prospects see the product live and become qualified leads, without waiting for a person.

Presenter

Available

On a live call from a share link

Runs a live product demo for a prospect with voice and a cursor, answers questions from approved facts, and hands hot leads to sales.

Your prospect opens a share link and joins a call: Ava’s voice, a cursor on the real product, a plan they can click, and a person when they ask for one.

    On your website

After the sale

Adoption & support

Customers finish tasks inside the product on their own, so fewer support tickets get opened.

Guide

Available

Inside your product, for signed-in users

Points signed-in customers to the next click and explains each step, so they finish the task instead of opening a ticket.

One script tag on your app. Ava points at the control and explains the step; your customer does the clicking.

How it works

Learn, approve, publish, converse, improve.

Both agents run on the same loop and the same knowledge base, so a fact you approve once is what the Presenter says on a call and what the Guide says in your app.

  1. 01

    Learn

Butter reads your public pages and sources, and your signed-in screens through a demo login you give it.

  2. 02

    Approve

Your editors approve or withhold each fact. Agents only ever say approved facts.

  3. 03

    Publish

A Presenter or Guide version goes live. Every version is kept and can be rolled back.

  4. 04

    Converse

Ava demos to prospects on a call and helps customers inside your app, in their language.

  5. 05

    Improve

Questions nobody answered come back to you. Teach once, and both agents know it.

One knowledge base

Sources, screens, facts and journeys are shared by every agent in the workspace.

Approved facts only

Withheld facts are never said. A product change sends affected answers back for review.

Logins stay yours

Signed-in learning uses a demo account. Butter never gets past 2-step verification or a CAPTCHA.

Try the Guide right here

Ask Ava where to click on this page.

This page loads the same /guide.js your customers would install. Ask how to do something, and Ava points at the right control and tells you why. You do the clicking.

or hold Alt (Option on a Mac) and speak

Try one:

Install on your product · one tag

<script src="https://<your Butter app>/guide.js"
  data-agent="<agent id>"
  data-token="<install token>"
  async></script>
  • Works only on the domains you allow in the Studio.
  • Sends labels of visible controls, never what anyone typed.
  • Captions with every spoken step; mute any time.

Trust and honesty

What is real today, and what is not yet.

Butter is a working product, not a mock-up. Here is exactly where it stands.

Real today

  • Live Presenter calls with Ava: voice, captions, a cursor on the real Studio, and a plan the visitor can click.
  • The Guide is show-only: it points and explains, it never clicks or types for anyone.
  • Voice in English and 10 Indian languages, with typing as a fallback.
  • Answers come only from facts your team approved; unanswered questions are logged for you to teach.
  • Signed-in learning uses a demo login. It never gets past 2-step verification or a CAPTCHA.
  • Workspaces, facts, sessions and transcripts are stored in Postgres on Neon.

Not yet

  • Qualifier agent (Sales) is planned, not built.
  • Onboarding agent (Adoption & support) is planned, not built.
  • Support agent (Adoption & support) is planned, not built.
  • Payments are not connected: choosing a plan changes it in the app, and nothing is charged.
  • No email is sent yet: invites and password resets are one-time links shown in the app.

FAQ

Questions judges and buyers ask.

Is “See a live demo” a real call?

Yes. You join a live room with Ava, Butter’s Presenter. She opens the Butter Studio in her own browser, shows each step on screen, and answers your questions by voice or text. You can ask for a person at any time.

Does the Guide click around for my customers?

No. The Guide is show-only: it highlights the control and says why, and the customer clicks. It never types into fields and never submits anything.

What does the Guide send to Butter?

The question (typed or spoken while the hotkey is held), the page path and title, and the labels of visible buttons, links and fields. Never what anyone typed, never password or card fields, and nothing inside an element marked data-butter-private. A screen picture is sent only if the user turns on “Look at my screen”.

Can Butter learn the screens behind my product’s sign-in?

You give it a demo account with sample data. Butter signs in only to read and demo, never changes data, and stops at 2-step verification or a CAPTCHA instead of getting past it.

Which languages can Ava speak?

English and 10 Indian languages: Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia.

What does it cost?

Workspaces are invite-only for now, and the live demo is free for anyone. When sign-ups open, new workspaces start with a 14-day trial with 60 demo minutes. Plans: Starter $199/month, Growth $799/month, Enterprise custom. Payments are not connected yet, so nothing is charged.
